About DZ Weather
A lightweight weather tool for wingsuit pilots, trackers, high-pullers and curious skydivers. Pick a dropzone and see latest winds aloft, cloud cover and a 6-hour forecast. Go to the bottom of the front page to see when the latest weather update was offered, typically it updates hourly if new data is available from Open-Meteo.
How to read it
- Wind direction is in degrees true and shows the bearing the wind is coming from (meteorological convention).
- Wind speed defaults to knots, temperature in °C, times shown in 24h local time. You can change units in Settings.
- Altitudes are approximate, mapped from standard atmosphere pressure levels (1000 hPa ≈ surface, 600 hPa ≈ 14,000 ft, etc.).
- Cloud cover bars: darker = more coverage at that altitude band.
- You can also find Last 15-minute data: Temp is 2m abvove surface, Wind is 10m above.
Data sources
- Weather: Open-Meteo (best-match model).
